With effect from bookings made on and after 20th September Ryanair - Europe's largest international airline - will charge passengers for using the airport check-in service. The new initiative has been designed to drive more passengers to their Check'N'Go web service, where you can check in and travel without queuing. Ryanair's web check in will be free to use and enables travellers with hand luggage only to proceed straight through security and get free priority boarding at the departure date too. However, if your boss doesn't travel lightly they can expect to shell out an additional £2 for the privilege of using the airport check in facilities.
