Virgin Blue is soon to be offering more to business travellers with a boost to its popular Premium Economy product. The Premium Economy product was launched in March this year, following increased demands for a business-friendly option and it’s proved to be so popular that the carrier is now making some changes including: complimentary on-board food and beverages and complimentary use of the individual seat back in-flight entertainment systems. Virgin Blue Chief Executive, Brett Godfrey, commented: “In the current economic climate, every cent counts whether the travel budget is coming from your own pocket or from your employers, so the new “upgraded” Premium Economy offering is going to add more value at a time when many companies are looking to trim their travel costs rather than their frequency of travelling.”
