Green may be the new black but it seems many of Australia’s small to medium enterprises (SMEs) are failing to make any real step forwards when it comes to greening up their offices. According to IBM more than half of Australian SMEs have an environmental policy in place but, crucially, only 33 per cent of businesses had made changes to lower energy use last year, or had plans ready for cutting energy usage this year. If you want to do your bit for the environment now might be as good a time as any to check that your company has an environmental policy and that it is being implemented.
