Imagine winning big on the lottery – what would be the first thing you do? Far from handing in their notice it seems a loyal 70 per cent of workers would continue to work in some capacity. The research just goes to prove how high a value workers place on job satisfaction rather than what they earn. The research also found that more than 80 per cent of employees felt that achieving a healthy work/life balance was paramount to their career but a staggering 60 per cent had yet to find a happy medium. So it’s not surprising to learn that turnover is at an all time high, with staff averaging a four year stint per employer, compared to 12 years in 1060.
