Its meteoric rise has been well charted but it seems that Twitter just doesn’t have the staying power. According to Neilson Online research the micro-blogging service has little user loyalty – with more than 60 per cent of Twitter users stopping using the service a month after joining. Social networking sites have seen a boom in the last year, with thousands signing up to maintain professional and social networks but it seems we just don’t have the dedication to these sites. Perhaps traditional face-to-face networking is the best way to maintain your contacts after all.
