The jury’s still our on whether blondes do actually have more fun than their darker haired counterparts - but if results from a recent survey are to be believed one thing they do excel in is earning money.
According to a study of 13,000 females by the University of Queensland blond-haired ladies earn an average of seven per cent more than women who are red heads or brunettes. The variations in rate of pay remained even when taking into account other factors such as height and education, and no other hair colour showed the same effect on pay packet. So that trip to the hairdressers could well be the best investment you make in your career.
