Booking a flight is always an expense but now businesses will need to factor in some extra costs for their travelling execs if they chose to fly with Tiger Airways. The airline has announced that it will now charge a fee for checking in at the airport and has also increased its baggage costs.

Customers choosing to check in for their flights at the airport will be charged $15,. You are however able to check in online at no cost.  If you opt to join the queue for check-in you’ll pay the $15 for the privilege. On top of these fees luggage charges are also being raised - previously costing $15, 15k will now set you back $20, while 25g of luggage will cost you $50, increased from $45.

Stealth charges like this can soon make that budget airline bargain flight as costly as a full service airline’s offering.
