Taking centre stage
It certainly was a memorable occasion for the Executive PA Magazine readers who attended our exclusive event with Centrepiece by Design

With event organising being such an important part of a PA’s role the chance to experience premium event styling and take advice from internationally-sought after Creative Director and artist Basil Griffith was snapped up by our Sydney-based readers. So on the evening of 28^th July readers joined us at Centrepiece by Design’s candle-lit gallery in St David’s Hall, Sydney.

Centrepiece by Design’s focus is on exceptional quality, professional service and providing clients with a premium couture edge – and readers were in for a treat with a stunning display from the company showcasing exactly why its reputation as the event experts is well deserved. Attendees entered the venue to be treated to a wonderful showcase of beautiful centrepieces on level one. Drinks were quickly passed around and our PAs had the opportunity to mingle, take a closer look at the exquisite designs and enjoy a drink after work. We were then led up to the second level where more stunning centrepieces were laid out for us to see.

The evening was complemented with a mouth-watering menu from award-winning caterer Avocado Group. “Avocado Group was thrilled to be given the opportunity to cater for this event.” Commented Megan Bale, General Manager at Avocado Group. “We acknowledge the importance of a PA in an organisation and it was great to meet so many of you and to have you enjoy our canapés.” Guests were delighted with the canapé menu which included crisp wonton king prawns, mignons of veal with béarnaise dipping sauce and Enoki mushroom ragout. “These items are some of the favourites with our clients and we chose to serve these on the night to showcase the variety of menu items and service styles available,” she explained. “The veal mignons in particular turned out to be a hit with the PAs and we look forward to creating event catering solutions including these items in the future.”

Marcus and Basil, both Directors at Centrepiece by Design welcomed our guests and then speeches from Jamie at Executive PA Magazine and Megan from Avocado Group were heard while everyone tucked into the canapés. Also in attendance was Oneill Photographics who was on hand to capture all the fun of the event – and to provide us with these high quality images which perfectly capture the feel of the occasion. When it was time to leave everyone left with a gift pack from Centerpiece by Design, the latest issue of Executive PA Magazine and a Pilot Frixion Pen.

“It was amazing to meet our readers and to see everyone enjoying themselves over the course of the evening,” said Jamie, from Executive PA Magazine. “Our readers were treated to an elegant display of interior décor and table centrepieces in a lovely and exclusive venue. Every PA I spoke with was really happy to be there, with many saying what a great opportunity for inspiration and new ideas for organising their next event.”
