RSVP Sydney has been declared a resounding success by exhibitors and visitors alike. Thousands of event buyers and organisers met with over 250 exhibitors at the Sydney Convention and Centre on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 July 2010.
With 100 new exhibitors and strong visitor numbers on the floor, many are touting the success of the 2010 show as a sign of growing confidence in the events industry.
“I came to develop new contacts and networks – and the show has been excellent for that,” said Patrick Doyle, General Manager of Durham AV.
“It’s been really worthwhile coming up from Melbourne for the two days.”
The face-to-face networking at RSVP Sydney has proven equally valuable for the exhibiting event suppliers.
“The show provides that important brand maintenance – renewing old acquaintances and reminding them about our company,” explained Darryl Lovegrove, Director of The Leading Men.
Exhibitors have also reported strong interest from buyers with real events and budgets to spend. The lead generation on the stands has been strong says Megan Bale, General Manager of Avocado Group.
“Visitors have come prepared and are asking for quotes on specific events, so we’re delighted to have such promising leads,” said Bale.
600 RSVP Sydney VIPs and Exhibitors took over the Museum of Sydney for RSVP After Dark, the networking event of the show. Produced by a team of supportive sponsors, the party gave guests a chance to network, meet and relax in what has been dubbed the Event Industry Party of the Year.
For the first time, RSVP Sydney fully opened its walls to Australian Business Events Expo, allowing visitors to walk freely between three exhibition halls. Better access between the co-located shows has brought together the entire spectrum of the events industry.
Now in its second year, the co-location of the shows has proven to be a very successful strategic move by the event organisers, Exhibition and Trade Fairs. The co-located event is sure to continue being a cornerstone in the Australian events industry.
RSVP Sydney will return to the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre on 10-11 August 2011.
