Graeme McFarlane Concierge at Pullman Brisbane Airport recommends his favourite places to dine, unwind and meet near Brisbane Airport

Apron Retaurant

Apron Restaurant is the signature restaurant of the award-winning Pullman Brisbane Airport and is led by Head Chef Marco Lodigiani. The sumptuous dining space encompasses a private dining room and intimate bar space with a distinctly international vibe. Chef Lodigiani focuses on bespoke produce sourced from the regional ‘apron’ of Southeast Queensland. The intimate and classic décor is Brisbane’s hidden gem and is a dining experience.

Cribb Island Beach Club

Cribb Island Beach Club is a vibrant beach-club-style bistro that takes you back to your childhood days. Named after Brisbane’s former beach-side suburb which is best known for being the home of the Gibb brothers who later became the Bee Gees. Featuring mouth watering menu classics such as homemade pizzas, burgers, milkshakes and spiders, it is the perfect relaxed vibe to ‘hang ten’ and enjoy leisurely drinks or a meal with friends.

Catalina Restaurant

Located within the Novotel Brisbane Airport, the relaxed dining experience at Catalina Restaurant is one of my preferred spots any time of day. Start the morning with a healthy choice breakfast or grab a coffee on the run, enjoy a light option or snack menu for lunch from the cabinet or sit down to an Australian contemporary meal for dinner. The inviting and open space is popular for family, friends or colleagues to gather.

Sky Lounge Rooftop Venue

One of my favourite spots and Brisbane’s best kept secret is the Sky Lounge Rooftop Venue. Perched high atop the ibis Brisbane Airport is Brisbane’s unique private rooftop venue. The stunning views out to Moreton Bay, Brisbane CBD as well as a front row seat to airline theatre are sort after. Whether it’s a breakfast meeting or cocktail party over sunset, the Sky Lounge Rooftop Venue will create an experience to remember.

Brisbane Airport Conference Centre

The Brisbane Airport Conference Centre is a new venue, which offers 1800 square metres of architecturally designed event space. In tribute to its location, I love the series of specially commissioned aviation artefacts including a full size wing and propeller that form a natural centrepiece for the space. With the capacity to cater to 330 people, the event space is designed to meet the dynamic needs of any business or group.
