Over $30billion is spent on business events in Australia each year and most comes from corporate events, which executive level assistants organise more of than any other professional group. Independent research has shown you to have average travel & meetings budgets of $394,000, but other than that very little is known about you by the meetings industry.
For the second year, two of the peak professional bodies for the meetings and events industry, The Association of Australian Convention Bureaux (AACB and Meetings & Events Australia (MEA), have partnered with Executive PA Media, and with your input we hope to begin to identify trends, to help the meetings industry assess the effectiveness of their initiatives to better meet your needs when managing events for your organisations.
The initial survey in 2017 was the first research for the meetings industry, to exclusively survey executive support professionals and the findings proved to be extremely useful; so much so that the document has been used at state government level to lobby for resources and funding.
The findings will be announced on the 6th May at the MEA annual conference “Accelerate”. The survey has 7 sections (the first being the longest) and should take no more than 12 minutes of your time. This survey is suitable for Australia based EAs. Executive PA Media will be inviting EAs from the UK and other regions around the world to participate in more location appropriate surveys throughout the year.
